Current action on concussions in Canada mostly refers to concussion awareness, identification, post-concussion management and guidelines. This document identifies a gap for public health organizations to focus on concussion prevention.
The results of this study suggest there are several risk factors for sustaining a concussion. Understanding the risk factors for concussion supports the work of public health to develop a program for intervention.
