Ontario Respiratory Virus Tool

The Ontario Respiratory Virus Tool provides comprehensive epidemiological information of respiratory virus activity in Ontario, including COVID-19, influenza and other respiratory viruses. Explore respiratory virus data including weekly case trends, laboratory testing, and outbreaks. The tool also contains additional COVID-19-specific data including: outcomes (hospitalizations, deaths, and ICU and hospital bed occupancy) and COVID-19 vaccination and dose administration.

Important Notes:

  • COVID-19 vaccine coverage data is no longer updated. View COVID-19 vaccines data up to December 2, 2023 in the ‘COVID-19 Vaccines’ tab.
  • For the week of December 3 to 9, 2023 (Week 49), Ontario surpassed the 5% positivity threshold, indicating the start of seasonal influenza activity in the province.
  • Due to data reporting delays in the provincial Case and Contact Management (CCM) system where PHO pulls the data from, please interpret COVID-19 death and hospitalization data from November 26, 2023 onwards with caution. View our technical notes for more information about the ORVT’s data sources.
