About Ontario Immunization Advisory Committee (OIAC)
The Ontario Immunization Advisory Committee (OIAC) provides evidence-based advice to Public Health Ontario on vaccines and immunization matters including vaccine program implementation in Ontario, priority populations and clinical guidance. The focus of the Committee’s work is on publicly-funded vaccines and immunization programs in Ontario and those under consideration for new programming.
OIAC is currently recruiting members in the following roles:
Position:
Pharmacist (1)
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Practicing pharmacist in Ontario
- Knowledge and minimum five years of experience in pharmacy including vaccine program delivery
- Licensed with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, active member
- Ability to network and engage with other pharmacists as needed
- Membership with the Ontario Pharmacists Association is an asset
- Be able and willing to comply with PHO’s Conflict of Interest Rules and confidentiality requirements.

Position:
Vaccinologist (1)
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- PhD in vaccinology, immunology or virology or closely related field with expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization, OR a professional designation (e.g., MD, RN) with an MSc in Vaccinology or related field
- Minimum five years of experience in vaccinology, excluding graduate-level training
- Up-to-date with new and emerging research in vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization, particularly in the Ontario context
- Appointment with a research institute or post-secondary institution (e.g., university) in Ontario
- Recognized as a credible expert in vaccine-preventable diseases or immunization by peers
- Ability to network and engage with other vaccinologists as needed
- Be able and willing to comply with PHO’s Conflict of Interest Rules and confidentiality requirements.

Position:
Expert in Quantitative Methods (1)
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- PhD in Epidemiology or related quantitative discipline with expertise in vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization, OR a professional designation (e.g., MD, RN) with an MSc in Epidemiology
- Minimum of five years of experience in epidemiology, excluding graduate-level training
- Highly skilled in epidemiological methods and data analysis
- Experience with mathematical modelling and health economics is an asset and highly desirable
- Up-to-date with new and emerging research in vaccine-preventable diseases and immunization, particularly in the Ontario context
- Appointment with a research institute or post-secondary institution (e.g., university) in Ontario
- Recognized as a credible expert in epidemiology and vaccine-preventable diseases/immunization by peers
- Ability to network and engage with other epidemiologists, modellers or health economists as needed
- Be able and willing to comply with PHO’s Conflict of Interest Rules and confidentiality requirements.
